These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Niz, an AI-powered keyboard and related services that provide suggested replies based on conversation context.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Niz.

By using Niz, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

What Niz does

Niz is an AI-assisted writing tool.

You may provide conversation context, including screenshots, and request suggested replies in different styles or tones.

Niz generates suggestions only.

Niz does not automatically send messages to other people.

You decide whether to use, modify, copy, insert or send any generated content.

AI-generated content

Niz uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions.

You should review every suggestion before using or sending it.

You remain responsible for communications that you choose to send using Niz.

Niz does not guarantee that a suggested message will produce any particular response, reaction, relationship or outcome.

Your content

You retain any rights you may have in content that you provide to Niz.

You grant Niz the limited rights necessary to process content you voluntarily submit for the purpose of providing the requested functionality.

This permission is limited to operating and providing the Services and does not transfer ownership of your content to Niz.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of content submitted to Niz complies with applicable law and does not unlawfully infringe the rights or privacy of another person.

You should not submit content that you are not legally entitled to process or share.

Conversation screenshots

Niz may allow you to provide screenshots containing messages, names, photographs or other information relating to other people.

You should only provide screenshots where you are lawfully entitled to do so and should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive, confidential or private information.

Screenshots submitted for AI generation are processed as described in the Niz Privacy Policy .

Third-party AI processing

Niz currently uses OpenAI technology to generate AI responses.

When you request a generation, relevant content may therefore be transmitted to and processed by OpenAI.

Acceptable use

You must not use Niz:

• for unlawful purposes;
• to threaten, harass, stalk, abuse or intimidate another person;
• to impersonate another person for fraudulent or harmful purposes;
• to facilitate fraud, deception or other illegal activity;
• to violate another person's privacy or intellectual property rights;
• to distribute illegal or malicious content;
• to attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, disrupt or compromise Niz or its infrastructure;
• to circumvent technical, usage or security restrictions;
• to use automated systems to abuse or excessively access the Service;
• in any manner that violates applicable law.

We may restrict or terminate access to Niz where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other people or our legal rights.

Third-party services

Niz may interact with or be used alongside third-party applications and services, including messaging platforms, dating applications, Apple services and artificial intelligence providers.

Niz is independent from those third parties unless expressly stated otherwise.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The availability or functionality of Niz may be affected by changes made by Apple or other third-party platforms.

Intellectual property

Niz, including its software, branding, design, logo, interface and original content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, modify or commercially exploit Niz or any substantial part of the Service.

Beta service

Niz may be made available as a beta or pre-release service, including through Apple's TestFlight platform.

Beta software may contain errors, bugs, incomplete functionality or interruptions.

Features may be changed, added or removed without notice during the beta period.

You acknowledge that a beta version should not be relied upon as a permanently available or error-free service.

Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that Niz will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary, subject to any rights you may have under mandatory consumer law.

Fees and future paid features

Niz may currently provide some or all functionality free of charge during its beta period.

We may introduce paid functionality, subscriptions or usage limits in the future.

Any applicable price and payment conditions will be clearly presented before you purchase a paid service.

Purchases made through Apple's App Store will also be subject to Apple's applicable payment and subscription rules.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Niz is provided on an "as available" basis.

AI-generated suggestions are provided for assistance and entertainment purposes and should not be considered professional, legal, medical, financial or other expert advice.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from your reliance on AI-generated suggestions, your decision to send or use generated content, or the conduct or response of another person.

You remain responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to send content suggested by Niz.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using Niz at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create security risks, or where suspension is reasonably necessary for legal or operational reasons.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Privacy

Your use of Niz is also governed by our Privacy Policy , which explains how personal data is processed.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Niz, applicable law or our business.

The date at the top indicates when the Terms were last updated.

Where a change materially affects your rights, we will provide appropriate notice where required by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the laws of your country of residence.
